TERROR FILMS RELEASING has teamed with writer / director Sean Nichols Lynchto release his cult found footage horror film, “The Ceremony Is About To Begin”.
Starring Chad Westbrook Hinds and John Laird (who also co-wrote with Lynch), the film follows a documentary filmmaker, who witnesses madness, mayhem, and mummification rites upon visiting an ancient Egyptian-inspired cult to interview its leader.
Lynch shared his thoughts about the making of the film:
“The aim with The Ceremony Is About To Begin was to take a fresh look at a classic movie monster through a 21st century lens of true crime documentaries, found footage, and the cult of disinformation, all while making something wild and weird for the midnight movie crowd. In collaboration with Chad and John, I think we’ve made something really bold and exciting for horror fans.” The film is currently available exclusively on Amazon Prime Video to rent or purchase. TFR will release the film across multiple digital platforms beginning March 14th, 2025, including Tubi TV, Chilling, Scare Network TV, Kings of Horror, Watch Movies Now and many more.
