Magnetic Press Launches the First English-Language Edition of the Acclaimed French Graphic Novel from the Creators of Temudjin and Nils: Tree Of Life

PORTLAND, OR (December 16, 2025) – Magnetic Press, the Eisner Award–winning publisher known for bringing groundbreaking international graphic novels to English-language readers, will release the first-ever English edition of White Shadows by writer Antoine Ozanam and artist Antoine Carrion. Originally published in France as L’Ombre blanche by Soleil Productions, this sweeping medieval fantasy arrives in North America on January 20, 2026.
Blending political intrigue, supernatural tension, and richly illustrated world-building, White Shadows follows the abduction of a young prince whose disappearance threatens to ignite a kingdom already on the brink. As whispers of a monstrous captor spread, rival factions maneuver for power, each with their own designs on the throne.

Artist Antoine Carrion has built an equally prolific career, including acclaimed works such as Nils: Tree Of Life and Temudjin, as well as numerous surreal graphic novels featured in Magnetic Press’s 2024 campaign The Fantastic Realms Of Antoine Carrion.

About The Creators
Antoine Ozanam was born in Rouen in 1970 and began his career in visual communications before transitioning fully to writing in 2004. His extensive bibliography spans historical thrillers, supernatural adventures, and popular series such as Klaw.
Antoine Carrion entered comics in 2012 under the pseudonym Tentacle Eye and quickly established himself through a series of visually striking projects. His collaborations with Ozanam include Song Of The Sabers, To Love, The White Shadow, and Temudjin. His later works include the acclaimed Nils: The Tree Of Life and an upcoming graphic novel adaptation of Henrik Ibsen’s Peer Gynt.
