Emerging from Japan’s late-1980s direct-to-video boom, Cyclops is an early, unhinged entry in underground splatter cinema. Director Jôji Iida fuses Cronenberg-style body horror with raw V-Cinema energy, building slowly before erupting into a grotesque finale packed with slimy transformations, deformed flesh, and practical gore effects.
