Lancashire, England. 1612. The Pendle Witch Trials became one of the darkest witchcraft prosecutions in English history—a story of fear, poverty, revenge, alleged curses and a justice system willing to destroy entire families on little more than accusation and confession.
But Pendle’s dead may not have stayed buried in history.
Centuries later, visitors still report voices in the fog, phantom figures appearing near Malkin Tower and strange women standing alone on the moors before vanishing without a trace.
One witness heard chanting grow louder as black figures emerged from the mist. Another approached a silent woman on Pendle Hill—only to watch her head suddenly fall to one side at an impossible angle.
The executions ended in 1612. The stories of what still walks Pendle Hill did not.
