In “A Fear of Spiders,” an arachnophobic gourmet columnist (Patrick O’Neal) seeks help from a woman he spurned when he discovers a hairy, and obstinate, little guest crawling in his kitchen sink. In “Junior,” a mother and father (Wally Cox) learn the hardships of parenting. In “Marmalade Wine,” a careless braggart (Robert Morse) foolishly exaggerates his meager talents to a crackpot surgeon (Rudy Vallee). In “The Academy,” a widower (Pat Boone) investigates an unusually strict military academy for his delinquent son.
