In “Pickman’s Model,” a young woman (Louise Sorel) of Victorian Boston finds herself drawn to a reclusive artist (Bradford Dillman) obsessed with ghouls. In “The Dear Departed,” bad luck follows a phony spiritualist (Steve Lawrence) and his assistant’s unfaithful wife after an auto accident. In “An Act of Chivalry,” a vignette teaches a lesson in elevator manners.
