In “Take My Life…Please!,” comedian Billy Diamond (Tim Thomerson) must perform an act that will decide his fate in the afterlife. In “Devil’s Alphabet,” the members of a poetry society (Ben Cross, Ethan Phillips) are haunted by an oath they took as young men. In “The Library,” writer Ellen Pendleton (Frances Conroy) is hired to work in a private library whose books document the lives of everyone alive.
