A honeymooning couple in Haiti crosses paths with a diabolical voodoo master who uses dark magic to control the living dead. Considered the first feature-length zombie film, this Pre-Code classic features atmospheric direction by Victor Halperin and memorable production design by Ralph Berger, who repurposed sets from Universal classics such as Dracula, The Hunchback of Notre Dame, and Frankenstein.
