When an elderly gardener is scratched by a strange tropical plant, he is rushed to a local hospital, unaware that he is harboring a deadly, rapidly mutating parasite. Before long, the creature erupts into a giant, flesh-eating monster that turns the quarantined medical center into a claustrophobic hunting ground. Directed by William Fruet, Blue Monkey (also known as Insect!) is a classic 80s creature feature packed with terrifying practical effects, mutant insect chaos, and nonstop horror suspense.
