On an expedition deep into the Himalayas, Dr. Frank Parrish would rather keep things focused on his real mission—obtaining biological samples. But as he, his photographer, and their Sherpa troop press on into the harsh, frigid wilderness, he is forced to accept one truth he’d rather not: his lead guide insists that a Yeti exists, and it has abducted his wife. The Sherpa overtake Parrish’s mission to rescue her, and the team ultimately captures the creature and transports it to Los Angeles, where it inevitably breaks free and threatens the city.

The Snow Creature emerged during the Atomic Age 1950s, reworking the King Kong template into a new piece of Yeti lore. Directed by W. Lee Wilder and written by his son Myles Wilder, the film stars Paul Langton, Teru Shimada, and William Phipps. A historic B‑thriller that played drive‑ins and regional TV well into the 1960s, it has been newly scanned and restored from its 35mm fine grain master by Vinegar Syndrome Labs.

In 1958, commercial producer Frank P. Bibas began production on a television anthology series for Hal Roach Studios centered around classic horror titan Boris Karloff. Predating One Step Beyond, The Twilight Zone, and Thriller, The Veil crafted each episode around mysterious and unexplainable phenomena, including time travel, ESP, reincarnation, astral projection, and the supernatural. Despite the era’s appetite for science fiction and horror, the dozen episodes of The Veil never saw broadcast and vanished for decades.
