A famous horror author from America journeys to Italy to spend a few days in an old coastal home, hoping to find inspiration. The history of the house begins to manifest itself with hallucinations, which the writer notes as ideas for his novel. When he meets locals who tell him the story of a 1970s cult that used the house to build a temple to Satan, he soon discovers the cult is still there—and that he is being used as a tool driven by evil.
