A South Korean university student vanished after a night out — but what investigators found inside her apartment made no sense. This is the unsolved disappearance of Lee Yun-hee.
In June 2006, Lee Yun-hee, a veterinary student at Jeonbuk National University, disappeared from her apartment in Jeonju. Just days earlier, her bag had been stolen, containing her phone, ID, and personal information. After a night celebrating with friends, she was never seen again.
When her friends entered her apartment, they found it in disarray. Furniture was missing. Syringes containing ketamine were discovered. Even more disturbing, someone used her computer that night to search for police numbers and sexual assault information — before deleting the history. More than 20 years later, the case remains unsolved.
