Clover Press brings Till Death to hardcover on December 15. Michael Schwartz and Rachael Schaefer write the ghostly romantic horror-comedy, illustrated by Gaia Cardinali, about a restless spirit and a troubled man who can see ghosts.
A ghostly romantic horror-comedy that’s part The Frighteners and part Harold and Maude.
Vivian has spent decades as a restless spirit, waiting for her husband to join her in the afterlife. But when another woman is buried in his plot, her forever-after falls apart. Enter Mack, a troubled man who survives a near-death experience and wakes up able to see ghosts. Now Vivian has convinced him to carry her bones to reunite with those of her husband—who’s been buried on the other side of the country. But breaking the laws of the afterlife has a cost, and the odd pair soon have a host of relentless reapers on their trail.
“Beautifully tragic and emotionally resonant.”—Geoff Johns (Geiger, Rook: Exodus, Green Lantern)
“A haunting love story about ghosts, road trips, and letting go.”—Doug Wagner (Plastic, Narco)
“A bold, original, yet necessarily nostalgic four color romance, fitting snugly inside comics’ most unsung genre.”—Brad and Lisa Gullickson, Comic Book Couples Counseling
From writers Michael Schwartz (Armored) & Rachael Schaefer (The Next Step, Barbie), illustrator Gaia Cardinali (King Arthur and the Knights of Justice), and letterer Ferran Delgado, Till Death brings together an incredible creative team for a haunting, heartfelt, and darkly funny original graphic novel.
