This Time, the Yellow Hallways Are Getting Shot Back At
Players headed into the endless yellow corridors of the Backrooms will soon be able to fight back, according to Collider’s reporting. Backrooms: Savior, a first-person co-op horror shooter from developer SuperPaprika, is now slated to arrive on PC through Steam in March 2027, with its store listing pointing to March 8.
Instead of simply hiding from the entities, squads are sent deep into the maze on search-and-rescue runs that mix familiar levels from Backrooms lore with brand-new areas. Each mission means tracking down key items, finding missing personnel and getting those survivors safely to an extraction point. Ammunition is scarce and every gunshot announces where you are, so moving carefully and using cover, light and sound with your teammates matters as much as aim.
The game is an independent production rather than a tie-in to A24’s Backrooms film from Kane Parsons, but it arrives with interest in the internet-born setting at a high following the movie’s theatrical run and its ongoing streaming life on HBO Max.
