Watch the original trailer for Daughter of Darkness (1948), a rare piece of vintage horror marketing from the film’s first release.
Siobhán McKenna gives an eerie performance as a troubled young woman with murderous, psychotic impulses in this transgressive, gothic, post-war horror. Featuring strong supporting performances, chiaroscuro cinematography and a moodily evocative score, Daughter of Darkness has been painstakingly restored by Hammer from 2K scans made from the original film negatives.
