Well Go USA brings The Awakening to Blu-ray and DVD on December 15. Alejandro Buitrago, Andrea Olaya, Claudio Cataño, Hector Sanchez and Hilda Ruiz star in the 2026 jungle horror linking a modern military unit to a cursed conquistador expedition.
An elite military unit ventures into the jungle on a mission to eliminate an enemy target. What begins as a tactical operation quickly descends into a frenzied nightmare when a primeval force awakens in the darkness. Five hundred years earlier, a Spanish conquistador expedition was consumed by the same supernatural presence. Separated by centuries but connected by the same hostile territory, both groups fight to survive the jungle’s ancient curse.
