Razorback (1984) – Official Trailer

Somewhere in the Australian Outback, there is a creature that can rip a man in half and destroy a house in seconds: Razorback, a giant freak of nature that’s nine-hundred pounds of tusk and muscle which terrorizes an isolated community as violent and primitive as itself. This astonishing debut from director Russell Mulcahy (Highlander) is a ferociously entertaining, adrenaline-pumping thriller that was beautifully shot by Academy Award®-winning* director of photography Dean Semler (The Road Warrior) and imbued with stunning special make-up effects by Bob McCarron (The Matrix). Razorback is an Ozploitation classic that will leave you on the edge of your seat.

Razorback (1984) Available March 14

It’s no cute koala munching eucalyptus leaves. It’s a rhino-sized denizen of the Outback that can turn you into a blood-feast. Out of a wasteland of beauty and death comes Razorback, tensely directed by Russell Mulcahy (Highlander) and ominously shot by Dean Semler (the Mad Max cinematographer who won an Academy Award® for Dances with Wolves). Gregory Harrison plays a native American arriving down under to look for his missing wife. Unequipped for the rough landscape and unprepared for the horrors lurking within, he is soon battling to survive. Amid the hanging carcasses of the Pet Pak cannery, he confronts the monstrous creature while a conveyor belt inches man and beast toward razor-sharp blades that will make pet food out of one—or both.

STARRING: Gregory Harrison, Arkie Whiteley, Bill Kerr, Chris Haywood, David Argue
