‘The Room Below’ is a psychological creature horror from writer-director Kurt Martin, starring Jonathan Rhys Meyers and Alyssa Sutherland.
Haunted by the loss of her son, a mother believes she has been given a second chance when a boy enters her life at exactly the right moment.
But something is hidden within her home — and as the creature becomes increasingly dangerous and difficult to control, a retired detective investigating a missing child begins uncovering a web of secrets leading directly to her door.
The investigation sets the stage for a deadly confrontation with the truth.
Shot in Sydney, Australia, ‘The Room Below’ also stars Bobby Gilchrist and Gilbert Bradman. The film’s creature effects were created by Make-Up Effects Group, whose credits include ‘FURIOSA: A MAD MAX SAGA’ and ‘TALK TO ME’.
