This is Dracula as it was always meant to be seen. A deeper search of Warner Bros’ holdings uncovered additional inserts no one had connected to the film’s lost scenes — the holy grail of missing footage hiding in plain sight. When those reels arrived from outside storage, they were confirmed as exactly that: pristine, complete footage believed to survive only on a beat‑up 16mm print from Japan. Unseen for over sixty years. Never released in the UK or US. Never on home entertainment anywhere in the world.
Painstakingly restored in 4K, graded to match Jack Asher’s original colour palette, and reinstated into the original camera negative, this cut represents the complete, uncut version Terence Fisher originally completed in 1958.
