A Mother’s Search Leads Back Into the Red Nun’s Sicilian Nightmare
The final chapter of the Remothered trilogy has arrived, as announced by Stormind Games. The Italian studio’s third-person survival horror game is available now on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S (including Xbox Cloud Gaming) and PC through Steam, the Epic Games Store and GOG, while the Nintendo Switch 2 version follows on December 3.
Players step back into the role of Susan Harper, whose daughter vanished more than a year ago. When a fresh lead tied to a string of missing Sicilian girls cracks the case back open, Susan’s hunt takes her to Villa Ashmann, a decaying residence where the Red Nun’s influence hangs over every corridor and human Stalkers patrol the halls.
Survival hinges on hiding, slipping past threats and fighting back only when there’s no other option. Susan can also tap into retrocognition to relive buried memories, use mirrors and manipulate moths to uncover hidden routes, all while gathering clues and solving puzzles. Stormind describes the game as a modern spin on classic survival horror with a neo-giallo flavor, and the soundtrack comes from Akira Yamaoka and Aram Shahbazians. For the studio, the launch closes out a series it has worked on for more than a decade.
