Focus Features has shared a scene from Park Chan-wook’s Thirst, in which Song Kang-ho’s priest wakes up showing the first signs of vampirism.
Father Sang-hyun (Song Kang-ho) experiences a grueling night and wakes up the following morning showing signs of becoming a vampire. He covers his skin after discovering that exposure to the sun burns it. He heads to the hospital where he feeds on patients blood after fulfilling his priestly duties blessing the sick and injured.
Through a failed medical experiment, a priest is stricken with vampirism and is forced to abandon his ascetic ways.
