Giuseppe Doesn’t Show Up At School | Sicilian Ghost Story | Altitude Films

The day after their kiss, Luna notices Giuseppe doesn’t show up at school.

Has something happened to Giuseppe?

Giuseppe is the 13-year-old son of a Mafia hitman, turned informant. When he disappears, it is assumed he has been kidnapped by his father’s former bosses. Giuseppe’s girlfriend, the determined Luna, battles her mother (some kind of wicked witch) and the police authority’s sloth and corruption in her search for him. Cleverly plotting her relentless quest, while her imagination conjures up mysterious and magical visions of where Giuseppe might be, Sicilian Ghost Story contrasts these fantastical worlds with the grim reality of the boy’s cruel captivity.

The Vagrant (1992) (Special Edition) Available February 7

HE’S NOT HOME ALONE!

The 90s cult classic is back! Directed by Chris Walas – FX genius of Gremlins and The Fly – The Vagrant is a demented black comedy starring cult icons Bill Paxton (Aliens, Twister), Michael Ironside (Scanners, Starship Troopers), Colleen Camp (Death Game, Clue) and Marshall Bell (Freddy’s Revenge, Total Recall) in a grimy blend of satire and grisly terror.

Mild-mannered financial clerk Graham Krakowski buys a run-down starter home only to discover a vagrant, living in the empty lot across the street, keeps appearing inside. Attempts to remove the homeless man lead to a feud that spirals out of control and tests Graham’s sanity as the vagrant engages him in twisted mind games, defiling his home, and framing him for gruesome murders.

Beloved character actor Bill Paxton stepped up to leading man status in The Vagrant and proved his extraordinary range in a role that runs the gamut of emotions and climbs to stratospheric heights of craziness. Newly restored from the original camera negative The Vagrant is a one of a kind movie that deserves a place in any cult film collection.

Special 2 DVD Set of the 1953 cult classic coupled with the 1986 remake from Director Tobe Hooper. Invaders From Mars (1953): In classic, retro sci-fi style, Invaders From Mars is considered by many to be the definitive cold war sci-fi paranoia parable. Liberally laced with paranoia of that era, it is not only an exceptional film, but a reflection of the sentiment of the 50s as well. During a thunderstorm, young David McLean happens to see a flying saucer land in a nearby field. No one believes his wild and frantic tale since the alien invaders have buried themselves and their ship underground. But when the towns inhabitants begin acting unusually, David realises it’s time to take action before everyone succumbs to the invaders from Mars. Invaders From Mars (1986): Cult horror legend Tobe Hooper (The Texas Chainsaw Massacre, Poltergeist) tips his hat to the crazed invasion films of the 1950s, spinning a creepy tale of small town paranoia in a science-fiction blast from the past. Young David Gardner’s fantastical dreams turn inside out and upside down when invaders from the red planet land in his backyard and unleash their wrath on an unsuspecting world. As the aliens take over the malleable minds of his parents, school teachers and friends alike, David becomes paralyzed with fear and threat of the unknown. From Black Christmas to Rare Exports, there has long been a symbiotic relationship between horror and the season of good cheer. Now, writer/director Eric Pennycoff (Sadistic Intentions) continues this proud tradition with The Leech, a cautionary tale about the perils of opening your door to a stranger.

Father David (Graham Skipper, Sequence Break), a Catholic priest struggling to fill the pews in his church, allows a homeless man, Terry (Jeremy Gardner, After Midnight), into his home to escape the December chill.
