Sweden’s first feature film shot on video is also the country’s only slasher movie. The overall-clad hemophiliac known as “The Bleeder” roams the abandoned estate of Byfors, blood pouring from his eyes. When the all-girl band Rock Cats have engine trouble with their tour bus in the woods, they end up at the estate.

Hans Hatwig, legendary editor of Swedish pop magazines Poster and Okej, photographed bands himself and even got Gene Simmons from KISS to pose with a poster for The Bleeder in his mouth, fueling the rumor that Simmons played the lead character. The Bleeder is actually played by Åke Eriksson, one of Sweden’s best drummers, known from bands like Attack, Bedlam, and Wasa Express.
